US vetoes Gaza ceasefire proposal

 The United States has vetoed a proposal for an immediate ceasefire in the Palestinian Gaza Strip. The Security Council voted on the draft resolution on Tuesday local time.

Washington says the resolution proposed by Algeria will jeopardize the ceasefire talks.
